2013 Varsity Legion Regional pairings

UPDATE: Congrats to Viroqua for winning the Regional and for Westby qualifying for State as well.

= = = = = = = =

Viroqua's Varsity Legion will play in the regional hosted by Prairie du Chien at St. Feriole Island Ballpark.

The regional games start Wed. July 24th and wrap up Sat. July 27th.  This is a standard, 6-team, Legion double elimination tournament.

A map to the ballpark is here: http://goo.gl/maps/7xGpW

Wed. July 24 at 8 pm

Viroqua plays in Game 3 v. the Regional Host, Prairie du Chien.  Update: Viroqua won 6-3

Thurs. July 25

If Viroqua wins Game 3, they will play in Game 6 at 8 pm (vs. Bi-State, the winner of Bi-State / GDS game)

UPDATE: Postponed due to rain.  Game 6 is now scheduled for 5:30 pm Friday.  Viroqua (1-0) v. Bi - State (1-0)

If Viroqua loses Game 3, they will play in Game 5, at 5:30 pm (vs. the winner of the North Crawford / Westby game)

Whether and when Viroqua plays on Friday and Saturday depends on how they do on Wed. and Thurs.  Once they get 2 losses, they are done with the Regional tournament.

Of course, this is mostly academic and just warm up, as Viroqua automatically qualifies for the 2013 Class A Wisconsin State Varsity Legion Tournament.

Viroqua is hosting the State Tournament Wed. July 31 thru Sun. Aug. 4 at the Park Bowl.

The winner of the PdC Regional will advance to the State Tournament in Viroqua.... unless Viroqua wins the Regional, in which case the runner-up advances to the State Tourney.

The full regional schedule is below.
