Game recap:
Waupun
defeats Westby, 9-1, in game 2 of the State Legion Tournament. Waupun
had a 5-1 lead after three innings and led for the rest of the game.
Westby's Nick Neely scored his team's only run in the bottom of the
third with a sacrifice fly to left field, scoring Alex Robson. In all,
Westby had five hits in the game.
Westby Legion's starting pitcher Caleb Fernholz picked up the pitching loss with two strikeouts and three walks.
Waupun's Bryce Bucholz was the winning pitcher, pitching a complete game victory with two strikeouts and three walks.
Waupun's Jordan Daane was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI, and Jordan Maul was 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Westby plays Thursday at 2 p.m. Waupun plays Thursday night at 8 p.m.
