Westby Legion stays alive in the State Legion Tournament with a 4-0 win over Altoona.\
Westby took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning when Caleb
Fernholz singled in Alex Robson.
Westby got a couple insurance runs in
the bottom of the fifth inning and scored its fourth run in the sixth.
Altoona went 3 up, 3 down in the top of the seventh, ending the game.
Westby's Tyler Ihrcke picked up the complete game win, pitching all seven innings. Ihrcke struck out eight and walked two.
At the plate, Fernholz was 2-for-3 with 2 RBI. Nick Neely was 2-for-2 with an RBI, and Alex Bluske was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Westby plays at 2 p.m. Friday.
